The KEI-325 Readout Box controls, displays
and dumps Steering Wheel Gauge (SWG) angle during a vehicle alignment.
One, two or three SWG's plug into the KEI-325 box. The angle, of
the SWG in use, is displayed onto a backlit Liquid Crystal Digital Display.
The KEI-325 Box interfaces to, and transmits the steering wheel angle to
an alignment machine via an RS-232 (or RS-422) line. The KEI-325
can be set up, in software, to be calibrated and display inclinometer angles
to +/-10 or +/-60 degrees. +/-10 degrees is used for SWG's that are
spring loaded or fixed to the windshield. +/-60 degrees is useful
when the SWG is allowed to float over the 120 degree range. This
can be helpful as to not bind up the front suspension hysteresis on one
side or the other. |
